INDUSTRIAL ASSEMBLY SERVICES
Converter 4 (Ipatinga Plant)
Manufactured and assembled by Usiminas Mecânica, Converter 4, in Ipatinga, has a capacity of 180 tons of steel. It measures approximately seven meters in diameter and nine meters in height. The material used was specially developed to give the equipment a longer service life.
Blast Furnace 2 Relining

Usiminas Mecânica worked on the assembly, disassembly and electromechanical maintenance for the relining of Blast Furnace 2 The equipment has the capacity to produce around 2,000 tons of pig iron per day and was shut down in April 2020 due to the Covid-19 pandemic. With Usiminas Mecânica's support in bringing the furnace back on line, Ipatinga Plant is once again operating at full capacity in pig iron production.INDUSTRIAL MAINTENANCE SERVICE
GR SINTER 3 E ROD MILL 3
Usiminas Mecânica intervened in all the equipment on the Sintering 3 line, from the sinter machine, cooler, screens, conveyors and Rod Mill, with the aim of replacing mechanical components in the equipment, as well as improving the electrical system, such as new electrical cabling routes and replacing panels. All of this to ensure that the equipment can fully return to its productive capacity, ensuring its high performance during its operational cycle and giving it a longer lifespan.

With top quality welding, “Usiminas Mecânica” stood out in the mechanical maintenance services provided for the major repair of the HSM (Hot Strip Mill). Its performance included mechanical maintenance on part of the unit's equipment, especially the rolling mill and the finishing mill. Through this repair, we helped the equipment return to operation in better condition than it had previously been.SERVICES RENDERED
